Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Champion Hill Disabled on Xbox Series X/S Due to Crashes

Sledgehammer Games rolled out a new playlist update for Call of Duty: Vanguard which added, among other modes, Champion Hill Duos and Trios. Unfortunately, it quickly followed up by noting that Champion Hill was disabled for Xbox Series X/S consoles due to crash issues. The development team is currently investigating the same.

This isn’t the first instance of crash issues that the game has faced. The Secrets of the Pacific event launched last week and just a few hours later, it had to be disabled due to “widespread crashing issues.” This may explain why Season 1 and Call of Duty: Warzone’s Pacific update (which adds the new Caldera map and Ricochet anti-cheat) were delayed to December 9th.

Stay tuned for more details when Champion Hill is re-enabled for Xbox Series X/S. In the meantime, check out our review for Call of Duty: Vanguard here. Along with Xbox platforms, it’s available for PS4, PS5 and PC. It sold only 40,000 units in Japan for its debut week and was the worst launch in the series’ history for the UK, despite previous titles performing well in both territories.
