In case the recent story trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live wasn’t enough, Far Cry 6 will be receiving some new gameplay today at 9 AM PT. Ubisoft announced on Twitter that this would be a first look at the open world shooter on running on Xbox Series X. Of course, it could also share some new details as well.
Far Cry 6 takes place on the island of Yara which dictator Anton Castillo rules with an iron fist. After the death of their loved ones at the hands of Castillo, Dani Rojas joins the guerrilla forces and vows to bring freedom to the country. This is done by traveling to different regions, warring with El Presidente’s forces and garnering support among the rebels in what is reportedly the series’ biggest map yet.
Releasing on October 7th, Far Cry 6 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia. In terms of post-launch content, it will receive three expansions with stories focused on past Far Cry villains like Vaas (Far Cry 3), Pagan Min (Far Cry 4) and Joseph Seed (Far Cry 5).
