A Plague Tale: Innocence Will Support the DualSense’s Haptic Feedback on PS5

Hot on the heels of announcing A Plague Tale: Requiem, publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Asobo Studio also confirmed that its excellent predecessor, A Plague Tale: Innocence, would also be getting an enhanced re-release for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with free next-gen upgrades being offered to those who already own the game. We already know that the game is going to boast 4K resolution and 60 FPS performance on the newer consoles, but specifically in terms of the PS5, how is it going to leverage its unique features?

Speaking to GameSpot, Focus Home Interactive PR strategist Julie Carneiro confirmed that the game will indeed be doing that, such as with support for the DualSense’s haptic feedback. “We can say that [A Plague Tale: Innocence] will feature faster load times, audio enhancement, DualSense features (i.e. haptic rumble sync with 3D sound and adaptive triggers), and cross progression,” Carneiro said.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is launching for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud) on July 6. You can read our review of the original release through here.

Its sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, is launching some time in 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch (again, as a cloud-exclusive release). It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass at launch.
