Infinity Ward recently released a major new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. While it added a big new feature for Warzone players in the Most Wanted contract, essentially challenging you to survive for five minutes to redeploy all your fallen allies, it also removed Bounties. Said change wasn’t documented in the patch notes, strangely enough.
The reactions thus far have been less than positive. Some argue that the Most Wanted contract isn’t worth it since you can spend that time just looting crates and buying allies back in anyway. There’s also the sentiment that Bounties are more fun, especially when it comes to finding people in later zones.
Not every reaction has been negative but it is odd that removing Bounties wouldn’t be so much as mentioned before the patch released. As such, given the games-as-a-service nature of Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s likely just a matter of time before Bounties return. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
