With Netflix’s The Witcher series having gathered a massive amount of popularity since its recent release, CD Projekt RED’s 2015 open world epic has also been reaping the benefits of simply being associated with the property. We recently reported how the game’s player count had seen a massive surge thanks to the Netflix show, and now, those numbers have gone up even higher.

According to Steam ChartsThe Witcher 3 currently has 91,193 concurrent players. This, incidentally, is also very nearly the highest the game’s concurrent player count has ever been, narrowly trailing its launch concurrent player count of 92,268. It’s very possible that the next day or so sees it overtaking that figure.

In fact, according to Steam, The Witcher 3 is currently the seventh largest concurrent player count, and has a significant lead over the likes of Monster Hunter World, Warframe, and Red Dead Redemption 2 (though the latter hasn’t necessarily enjoyed the best numbers on Steam).

Meanwhile, The Witcher 3 was also recently added to the Game Pass catalog. Not too long before that, a surprisingly good port also released for the Nintendo Switch.

Recently, CD Projekt extended their agreement with The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski, renewing their rights over the property.
